Diamante Golf Villas

Located just 15 minutes north of Downtown is Diamante Cabo San Lucas and the Golf Villas. Diamante is a huge 1500 acre gated community on the Pacific side of the Baja.

We toured the 4 bedroom golf villa and were impressed with open floor plan, amazing outdoor space, gourmet kitchen, upstairs viewing deck, impeccable attention to detail and high quality furnishings.

The villas are 3,925 sq. ft and boasts over 2,000 sq. ft of additional outdoor living space and priced between $2.5-$3mil. The high ceilings and expansive pocket doors allows owners to bring the outdoors into the living room and open central veranda making the three main living areas connect for an incredible open air feeling.

The star of the project for golfers is the private Dunes Course. This course designed by Davis Love III is the 36th top course in the world. Front start to finish the golf, the overall experience is legendary.

For many golfers the newer Tiger Woods course El Cardonal is the course of choice with its wide fairways and approachable design. For a fun challenge for all generations, the Tiger designed Short Course will sharpen your short game as you walk around the fresh water lake filled with migratory birds.

Two huge resorts now being added to Diamante. The exclusive and sophisticated Nobu Resort and the huge 700 room Hard Rock Los Cabos are scheduled to open later this year. Residents will have full access to these resorts restaurants, pools and expansive amenities so no shortage of options.

Another remarkable feature of this property is the Lagoon Resort. This 10 acre heated pool is the worlds largest and features restaurants, bars, hot tubs, volleyball, SUP boards, kayaks, kids clubs and plenty of water activities, all with no riptides or jellyfish.

Four Seasons Private Villas Los Cabos at Costa Palmas

One hour north of the San Jose airport is the new Costa Palmas project. This Ft Lauderdale style marina concept was originally called Cabo Riviera but failed after hurricane Odile in 2014. Irongate Development came in and took over and rebranded it as Costa Palmas and are actively building the Four Seasons hotel and residences.

Newly announced addition of the Aman resort and residences makes this a major player in the ultra luxury residence game in the southern Baja.

This is Aman’s first Mexican venture from this SE Asia 6 star hotel group.

Our tour of Costa Palmas began at the entrance to this 1000 acre project. After arriving to their recently completed beach club we met their team. The modern sleek style of the club has a distinctly Four Seasons feel.

The master plan is impressive. They are actively dredging the marina, carving out the golf course and building the hotel. Scheduled to open late this year they have 450 construction crew members making it happen.

The beach club will be the centerpiece of the residences and is complete with lounge, restaurant, bar, multiple pools and hot tubs, members locker rooms, spa and gym. The beach club is located above the sand dunes along the natural lagoon and overlooking the blue waters of the Sea of Cortez. It is also the sales office and design center where they will meticulously customize your baja home.

A long stretch of white sand beach is a great place for your family to play and enjoy the gentle waves and swim-friendly sea.

The residences come as either fully turn key or you can customize a private villa that you furnish yourself.

Starting price points for a marina condo is $1.9 million which come fully furnished and can be placed in their hotel rental program. Boat slips are available right in front of your residence for an additional price. 

On the other end of the spectrum are the private oceanfront villas. These are the pinnacle for homeowners with the wherewithal and desire for custom design. Various lot sizes are currently available with the top locations currently priced at $20 million. Expect $1,000 per sq ft building expense.

Turnkey furnished villas are available on the ocean, marina and golf course.

In addition to the beach club amenities members will enjoy a private yacht club, marina village, and a wide range of outdoor pursuits.

The Robert Trent Jones designed private club will offer 250 memberships for $100,000 and annual fees of $25,000. Golf is expected to open at the same time as the Four Seasons Hotel in late December 2018.

After our private tour with Erin we were getting pretty hungry so went back to the beach club and enjoyed an amazing fresh lunch and a couple of tasty margaritas, a fitting end to this amazing preview.

Top Fractional Ownership in Los Cabos

Deeded title fractional ownership is not timeshare and has the same options, closing services and closing costs as full ownership. In fact the only fractional ownership listings allowed on the multiple listings service must have a fideicomiso title and ownership can not be limited in duration. Here we explore the top fractional ownership options in Los Cabos.

The New Normal. 

Investors worldwide have embraced the idea of sharing the costs and benefits that fractional ownership allows. Whether you are buying into a fractional yacht, jet or vacation property, the advantages of owning only the amount of time you desire has become the new normal. 

First up is El Encanto de la Laguna.

This project is just east of Puerto Los Cabos marina and is considered the beginning of the East Cape. While only a short drive from San Jose, El Encanto feels like it’s a world away from Los Cabos. The larger 3 bedroom 1/4 share units have huge decks, sweeping lands end views and range in price from $320,000 to $843,000. This is a true resort style option with plenty of amenities. This stunning arrival is eclipsed only by the feeling of serenity and opulence that the resort achieves. Fractional ownership here is in 6 week increments and range from $390,000 for a 3 bedroom unit to $440,000 for the four bedroom. All have commanding views. Owners are subject to rotating planned weeks and pay quarterly dues. Enjoy unprecedented 5 diamond amenities at one of the top resort residences in the world.
