Tu Enamorado Yacht

We have been enjoying this classic sailing yacht for years. We recommend it for those seeking a higher level quality over the other sunset booze cruises. The barefoot sailing experience on this handmade wooden 97 foot long sloop style yacht is among the finest things to do in Cabo. We appreciate the level of attention the crew displays, from the comfortable seating to the attentive, quick service of the happy waiters. The all-inclusive cruise has everything we like without up charging you for decent premium quality beverages. The bar has a wide variety of options including high end Casamigos tequila (yummy) quality wine and beer plus non-adult beverages for those designated drivers.

Upon boarding we enjoy the welcome cocktail as we slowly left the marina. It is always fun to watch all the gorgeous yachts parked along the way as we line up and follow the other booze cruises, pangas and private charters all heading out for the late afternoon sunset cruises. We smiled as we waved at the other more crowded vessels knowing we made the right decision. Sure there are less expensive sunset cruises but we feel it is well worth it plus far less expensive than taking a private charter and it is nice to meet new people. We ended up sitting with a great group of young girls from Florida, a couple from Utah, Honeymooners from Tahoe and some others from Seattle Washington.

The first stop was at Land’s End for the perfect picture taking opportunity. They have an on board professional photographer that will sell you their amazing shots or you can easily take your own selfies. This is a busy stop with all the various boats getting their turn at the Arch then off to the Bay for some fun cruising and more music, drinking and dancing. Yea this is a great time and it never gets old. This evening the light wind makes for gentle cruising and keeps everyone cool.

The crew is busy in the salon prepping the food. First up are the appetizers including a charcuterie platter with a variety of cheeses and tasty cold cuts and then they offered us freshly made bruschetta before dinner. They space out the four courses perfectly.

The guitar player was a delight and played some excellent light jazz and sang as well. He then became the DJ and got the crowd to dance to fun popular music and also took requests. Oakley even learned the Macarena to everyone’s delight. Next came the formal dinner. Surf and Turf is always delightful and they made it perfectly with the filet served medium and the jumbo shrimp were juicy. The maximum capacity is for 40 and our tour was full but we never wanted for anything and we’re impressed by how seamlessly they pulled everything off in the three hours we were aboard. After dinner, we enjoyed a nice desert while we cruised and enjoyed the beautiful shoreline. The three hours went by rather quickly and are thinking we will try their 5 hour luxury snorkel cruise on our next Tu Enamorado cruise. Both are a great bargain at $199 per person.

Contact us today to book your next tour or let us give you a quote for a private charter of this luxurious sailing sloop or one of the other finest options found on our website cabosfinest.com. Best Beaches of Los Cabos Cabos Best-Beaches Cabos Finest Beaches

Monuments Beach

One of our favorite beaches in Los Cabos is Playa Monuments. Located on the far eastern side of Bahia Cabo San Lucas, this is an easy-to-access beach just a few miles from the busy tourist zone. You can take the bus to the top of the hill and walk down, or grab a taxi or even an Uber and have them drop you off between The Cape and Sunset Mona Lisa Restaurant.

There is limited parking if you have your own vehicle. There is an empty lot you walk down to gain access. This is a local’s surf break with a consistent left-hand break. Mornings are best for surfing and boogie boarding. The stretch in front of The Cape Hotel is where most people hang out. We prefer to go down the beach to access one of the coves. This is best done during low tide since the waves will make access difficult. You can also climb up and over the rocks using the old fence posts that run parallel to the shoreline as a guide. Do not be alarmed by the security guards that are present. All beaches in Mexico are public and the first 20 mts above high tide are open federal land. The security guards are there to keep squatters off the hundreds of acres that are under ownership dispute.

There are no services so be sure to bring your own towels, shade, and beverages and any other toys you require. The beach here is rarely calm enough for swimming, but is a joyous spot for beach combing and photography. We use it often for morning runs and hikes. This is not a popular spot, and we rarely see more than a few others. Pretty amazing since it is so close to the center of Cabo. The further you venture, the less people you will see. The views are amazing, with Land’s End in the distance. Also, a favorite for dogs with so many sticks and places to sniff at their disposal. We love bouldering up and over and through and find arches and caves as well as new secret spots around every nook and palm tree.

Insider’s tip- this is the perfect setting for sunset photo sessions. Tip 2 there are fireworks from weddings and events 3-4 times a week. So bring a blanket and a picnic and make a memorable evening of it. Tip 3 make reservations at one of the various restaurants at the Cape or The Jazz Club for live music and or Sunset Mona Lisa.

This is one of many incredible beaches in Los Cabos. For a complete list go to www.cabosfinest for more videos on where to Dine, Stay and Play. We look forward to bringing you insider’s tips on Los Cabos and Baja Sur. If you like what we are doing, please subscribe and be sure to tell your Cabo loving friends. Thank you for watching.

Luxury Villa Rentals

Villa Santa Cruz

Awe, that blissful feeling you get when you arrive, is tangible. We found this oasis in the desert many years ago when they first opened. In those days they had only four suites, each a corner upstairs unit in the grand villa. It was immediately apparent this was not your ordinary small hotel, but a rare jewel in a magical location. It is far enough outside of Todos Santos to feel remote, but close enough to town for exploring the wonderful restaurants, shops, art galleries and natural wonders of the Pueblo Magico that is Todos Santos.

Who designed and created this amazing property? Matt and Jessica Canepa did when they decided to quit the corporate life, move to Southern Baja and start a small hotel and raise a family. They slowly grew their business and added more rooms. Currently, there are 15 separate units, a lovely restaurant, the organic farm, the renovated pool area, walking paths through the farm, a double decked palapa, outdoor dining and meeting areas and plans for further expansion. The addition of The Green Room restaurant 3 years ago allows the public to get a taste for the magic of this location while watching the sun setting over the blue Pacific. This toes in the sand restaurant has a casual atmosphere with an intimate selection of tasty seafood specializing in tostadas and gourmet tacos. Be sure to make reservations and stay for the nightly show of watching the sunset over the Pacific.

For fun, you have a surf break a few steps away, whale watching, stand up paddling, fishing, off-roading, beach combing, yoga in the palapa and many other activities that change with the seasons.

At Villa Santa Cruz the staff is obviously well-trained well and well taken care of, you can see their enthusiasm for the place is apparent. That glowing smile is shared by the lucky guests who have discovered this hotel and by those who have joined their team of employees.

All the little details that make this an award-winning hotel are thoughtfully planned. Is it the coffee service where you have french pressed coffee with fresh muffins delivered to your suite, or the delicious complimentary breakfast made to order and served in your villa, poolside, or on one of the numerous verandas? Perhaps it is the frozen fruits balls that are timed perfectly as you sunbath. The tastiest welcome margarita? Or is it the sweet treat that mysteriously appears each night before they light your private beach fire? What ever it is, the attention to detail and the genuine laughter of everyone in attendance just elevates the experience.

On this stay, we splurged and reserved the tented oceanfront suite Estrella. As you can see, these are glamorous tents that could easily be found in a high-end Safari. They are so close to the beach, you will sleep like a happy baby to the sounds of the surf and the softness of the beds. The generous en-suite baths feature bodets, twin sinks, luxurious shower and a custom soaking tub. The outdoor terrace has overhanging eaves for shade with room for dining for two, lounge chairs and a wide hammock. The cute picket gate leads directly to the private fire pit and only steps to the lovely stretch of beach. We did not see anyone else on the beach the whole stay except for an occasional fishing panga zipping past.

The Bodega Suites are adjacent to the pool area and feature generously sized bedrooms, a sitting area and a large ocean view veranda. Each en-suite bath has twin sinks and is comfortable and fully stocked. Privacy is a key design element. Here you feel in tune with the flow of the surf and the pace of the lazy days and the gentle ocean breezes.

The North Villa is a perfect option for those friends and families that want to share this roomy three bedroom home. It sleeps three couples complete with living room and kitchen downstairs with one master suite and two separate additional suites with private balconies upstairs plus a roof deck.

For those seeking the perfect wedding destination, look no further. They have perfected the whole process and will continue to specialize in custom catering and groups. The future looks bright with the plans of some more roomy bungalows, a fine dining restaurant, a spa, a pond, bocce ball court with even a lawn crochet court.

So whether you’re a couple looking for a romantic getaway, a connoisseur of boutique nature-based hotels or a group looking for an intimate wedding destination, Villa Santa Cruz in Todos Santos is the perfect legendary choice.

And this concludes our video on Villa Santa Cruz.
